Welcome to “The AGA Journals Blog”—a forum for discussion of the latest discoveries in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. Each week we will comment on a new article from the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) journals Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology (CGH).
The goals for the blog are two-fold: 1) to keep readers abreast of the hottest research published in the journals, and 2) for readers to interact with the journals and with each other, discussing the clinical and scientific significance of the articles, posing questions about the research, and suggesting directions for future studies. Clinicians, researchers, and anyone with an interest in digestive disease are invited to read and comment.
Dr. Kristine Novak, the science editor for Gastroenterology and CGH, is the chief contributor of the blog. She has worked as an editor at biomedical research journals and as a science writer for more than 12 years, covering advances in gastroenterology, hepatology, cancer, immunology, biotechnology, molecular genetics, and clinical trials. She has a PhD in cell biology and an interest in all areas of medical research.
