About

About this blog:
The AGA Journals Blog is a forum for discussion of the latest discoveries in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. Each week we will comment on a new article from the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) journals Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology (CGH). The goals for the blog are two-fold: 1) to keep readers abreast of the hottest research published in the journals, and 2) for readers to interact with the journals and with each other, discussing the clinical and scientific significance of the articles, posing questions about the research, and suggesting directions for future studies. Clinicians, researchers, and anyone with an interest in digestive disease are invited to read and comment.

About the blog’s author:
Dr. Kristine Novak is the science editor for Gastroenterology and CGH. She has worked as an editor at biomedical research journals and as a science writer for 15 years, covering advances in gastroenterology, hepatology, cancer, immunology, biotechnology, molecular genetics, and clinical trials. She has a PhD in cell biology and an interest in all areas of medical research.

About Gastroenterology:
Gastroenterology is the most prominent journal in the field of gastrointestinal disease. As the official journal of the AGA, Gastroenterology delivers up-to-date and authoritative coverage of both basic and clinical gastroenterology and hepatology.

About CGH:
Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology is the official clinical practice journal of the AGA. Its mission is to provide readers with a broad spectrum of themes in clinical gastroenterology and hepatology, including the diagnostic, endoscopic, interventional, and therapeutic advances in cancer, inflammatory diseases, functional gastrointestinal disorders, nutrition, absorption, and secretion.
